R2,320 SASSA Disability Grant 2025 – Who Qualifies And When You Will Be Paid

The Updated Disability Grant Payments Are Giving Relief to Thousands. With the Increase of R2,320 in the Monthly Amount, South Africans with Disabilities Were Given Much Needed Financial Support for their Very Basic Needs. Invalidation of this, therefore, becomes the focus of further analysis in terms of the criteria of eligibility, payment dates, and status acknowledgment mechanism.

Disability Grant Adjusted 2005

In October 2025, the last increase was implemented to the Disability Grant. The amount was fixed at R2,320 per month, but the increase was supposed to take effect from April and was hence ratified at a later date. In essence, government has undertaken this adjustment in an attempt to help with soaring cost of living and inflation.  The sum of R2,320 is to be paid to disabled nationals of South Africa who have been medically certified to be unable to work, either temporarily or permanently; it is a barest help towards the very basic needs of food allowance, medication, and transport, for example, to a hospital.
