R2,320 SASSA Disability Grant 2025 – Who Qualifies And When You Will Be Paid

Disability Grant is the key of the very important financial assistance SASSA offers disabled South Africans. In 2025, a very small yet important allowance will be granted to a disabled person: currently pegged at R2,320 per month, it is intended mostly for the few who either earn meagerly or face the rising cost of living. The present statute shall contain an entire list of requirements for the year 2025, including the payment dates and other pertinent information regarding qualification.

Disability Grant Rates for 2025

Starting from April 2025, SASSA made a slight raise of R40 in accommodation allowance it provided for disabled persons-from the previous R2,280 to R2,320 in a month. This allowance used to be decreased over the years by successive governments based on their social wage concerns so as to enable the disabled to have their daily requirements that include food, medical bills, and rental deposits for apartment accommodation. Those who receive their payments into bank accounts and on cash cards or pay via retail outlets such as Shoprite, Boxer, or Pick n Pay do not have to take any action to collect the new rate.
