Status Result Meanings:

When you eventually check your status, you might get:

  • Approved: Your application has been approved, and it is expected that a payment date should be registered soon. 
  • Pending: Your application is being reviewed; no action needs to be taken unless they request you to submit further documents. 
  • Declined: This means that it was found that you did not qualify under their eligibility criteria; you can appeal within the stipulated time.

Upon having the status Declined, you have an option to appeal: 

  1. Go to the appeal portal on the SASSA website. 
  2. Make your appeal with the necessary documentations.
