SASSA R370 SRD Grant November 2025 – Payment Dates and Status Updates

The Social Relief of Distress grants are provided as social assistance and were subject to Union and, thereafter, Republic social security laws up until 2005. With the inception of the South African Social Security Agency, the payment of social assistance became its function. This grant is granted against term and usually punches the clock: On January 1, 2024, the R350 SRD Grant was increased to R370 in terms of section 8AQ-1 of the Social Assistance Act. Short-term grants are reviewed at certain periods, and the criteria of eligibility in force apply.

Expected Pay Date for November 2025

Normally, the payments of SRD grants are done late in the month. In September of 2025, for instance, grants were paid for between the 25th and 30th of September. Thus, the beneficiaries should expect payment for November 2025 to also come in late November, most likely between the 25th and the 30th of November. Different things affect this date, such as whether your bank is fast in paying, backlogs on SASSA’s side, and how long they internally set it.

The following criteria must be fulfilled by the applicant to qualify for the SRD Grant of R370 in November 2025:

How to Get the Status of Your SRD Grant & the Payment Date

You can check your SRD application status and payments dates in various ways:

  • Official SRD Status Portal: Head the srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status and key in your ID number and the cellphone number used for the application.
  • USSD Codes: Dial 1203210# or 12069277# on your cellphone, select the SRD status option, then follow the prompts.
  • WhatsApp / SMS: Others recommend checking your status through WhatsApp or SMS (e.g., send your ID to the SASSA help lines).
  • SASSA offices / toll-free lines: Visit the nearest SASSA office or make a call to the hotline for further assistance.

Make sure that you are using the same cell phone number and ID number you used in your application, else you may have a very hard time checking your status.

What Happens When My Grant Is Delayed or Declined?

  • Grant payments will never reflect in your bank account with the status
  • “Pending” meaning that application is still being reviewed.
  • Declined” means you could submit a request for reconsideration or a recalibration of your appeal if you believe an error has occurred.
  • Bank details pending” means that bank details that have been submitted need to be supplied and updated.

Generally, it would be best if you consider or appeal within 30 days, or as indicated in the days laid down by SASSA, so make sure that you do this within the stipulated period. Update all your contact and bank details to prevent further delays.

Some Tips Before November

  1. Always check your status on or a bit before 25 November, so you will be sure of being approved.
  2. Banking details and personal details submitted should always be accurate and updated.
  3. Do not rely on just one checking method; cross-check with other portals or USSD codes, or even better call the SASSA help lines for confirmation.
  4. Make arrangements to either receive or withdraw money as soon as it reflects in your account, but try not to go to pay points on the first day of disbursement.
